Team Beef and Flat2VR Studios have set a launch date for WRATH: Aeon of Ruin VR – Brutal Edition: April 9, arriving simultaneously on SteamVR, Meta Quest, and PlayStation VR2.

The Brutal Edition isn't a straight port — it's a full VR rebuild of the dark-fantasy shooter built on the Quake engine, leaning hard into what a headset does best. Combat is dual-wielded and hands-on, reloading is physical, and blade dashes let players close distance on Guardians for messy, momentum-driven kills. Players step into the role of the Outlander, dragged from the void into a dying, corrupted world, with heavier gore, stronger hit feedback, and reworked audio compared to the flatscreen original.

It's the latest in a run of classic-shooter VR conversions from the Flat2VR Studios and Team Beef partnership, following the same publishing arrangement with 3D Realms that's carried their previous ports. Since launch, the game has held a 96% positive rating across its Steam reviews.
