FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR is heading to Steam Early Access on April 23, bringing the demolition-derby racing series into full 6DOF for the first time through the Flat2VR Spark program.

Longtime VR modder Sergii Permiakov (known in the community as "Mutar") led the rebuild, which had to solve a problem most VR ports don't face: the original FlatOut 4 was a third-person racer with no car interiors at all. Flat2VR's artists modeled a cockpit for every vehicle in the game from scratch so the VR version could put players in the driver's seat instead of hovering behind the car. The result supports cockpit view, motion-controller steering, and wheel/pedal/shifter peripherals, alongside spatialized audio and DLSS.

Early Access launches with twenty tracks and twenty-nine vehicles across classic racing, arena demolition derby, and stunt modes, plus online multiplayer. It's already available to wishlist on Steam ahead of the April 23 release.
